1) What is Oman Viva?
Oman Viva is an oral exam that is held only in Oman. Registering for the Oral Viva requires you to have a completed data flow report and to have passed the OMSB exam with a score more than 60%.
2) Where is Oman Viva conducted?
Oman Viva is conducted only in Muscat, the capital city of Oman. (It is not conducted outside of Oman).
3) How many times in a month is Oman Viva conducted?
The Oman Viva is held only twice a month by Ministry Of health (MOH) in Muscat. Only 10 candidates will be tested each time so it is better to confirm your registration at least one month before the exam date.
4) How many attempts are there for Oman Viva?
If your OMSB exam score is more than 70% then you have 3 chances to sit for viva exam. Otherwise you only have 2 chances to attempt of attempt for the viva.
5) How to register for the Oman Viva?
You have two options to register for the Oman Viva after clearing the online OMSB exam:
- You can register personally at the private sector of MOH in Muscat and submit all the documents to them including fee payment of 100 OMR (around USD 260).
- If you have a job offer in Oman, then the sponsor/employer will register for you and also pay the fees instead of you.
6) How is the Oman viva?
Oman Viva is the most tricky part as no syllabus is provided for the oral exam. The examiner will put you in the same situation as that of a GP doctor and a patient (which the examiner will act) will come to you with the chief complaint. Then you should take history of the patient, diagnose and treat the patient.

If you fail 2 or 3 times, then you cannot register or appear for Oman Viva for at least 6 to 12 months.
17) Am I eligible to practice as a doctor without passing the Oman Viva?
According to Ministry of Health (MOH) Oman, you are not eligible to practice as a doctor in Oman if you have passed the online OMSB exam but failed the Oman Viva. It is mandatory to pass the Oman Viva for getting approval from MOH, Oman.
One of team doctors is currently practicing in Muscat, Oman so we can assist in Oman Viva registration in case the candidate doesn’t know the procedure or doesn’t have a sponsor.
18) Is it possible to apply for Oman viva if I do not have a Sponsor or an Employer?
Yes, you can personally apply for Oman Viva without any employer or sponsor and pay the Viva fees of OMR 100 (USD 260) by yourself.

Alhamdulillah I cleared my QCHP EXAM IN FIRST ATTEMPT ON 4TH JANUARY 2022. I am extremely thankful to Dr. Munjal's guidance and patience in dealing with my constant inquiries through the process.
The exam was 100 percent based on concepts tested by Dr. Munjal's website and difficulty level of the exam is same as Dr. Munjal's questions. Thank you Dr. Sana for your explanations to my queries.
The website is more USELFUL for the exam than reading MTB itself and is enough to study and easily pass in first attempt. I studied for 2.5 months in total and was scoring 51 percent after 6 weeks into it, I decided to study for another 4 weeks and took the leap of faith. I scored 69 percent on the real exam. I registered for my exam 2 months in advance and did 2 blocks per day with explanations and discussions with my study partner. In the last 10 days i did Prometric 1000 and recalls, gynae Peds and surgery. Exam has 150 questions and I scored 103 out of it. Medicine 47 questions, Peds 36, surgery 30 and gynae 37. Prometric 1000 and Gynae subjects were most useful for me.
The exam is VERY DOABLE and DR. Munjal's explanations really help in clearing the concepts on the exam day. I am very thankful and now requesting Dr. Munjal for helping me find a job haha. He is an institution and is changing student lives. So freaking GRATEFUL FOR A MENTOR LIKE HIM.

I Dr. Rohana from srilanka, purchased GP mcq set for DHA and OMSB exams for a month. actually I did only practice paper sets and recall mcqs as mock test and only refer USMLE step 3 e book for the exam preparation. I must say around 40% similar mcqs appear in the exam and descriptions of these mcqs extremely helpful to workout on exam mcqs. I only took two weeks to prepare for the exam . I did both DHA and OMSB in same day and got through the both. I also watch Dr. Munjal Pandya sir"s tutorials and you tube videos relevant to GP exam and those are also highly helpful to my success. I cleared DHA prometric family medicine in first attempt. I have been working as a speciality doctor in the NHS UK. We have relocated to Qatar from the UK. I was looking for a job in Qatar. I was asked by QCHP to sit in the Prometic exam as my PLAB exam was ages ago. I subscribed to Dr Munjal's website on the recommendation of my friend. Dr Munjal was very cooperative and was available all the time for any query and guidance. He advised me to study for 2 months, but I decided to appear sooner. I used Dr Munjal's website only for practice along with authentic website like Gpnotes UK etc for the elaboration of any important topics. MCQ packages are very good. These questions are more than enough to clear the MCQ exam. At least first 2000 questions are mandatory for getting good score. No need to study any other study material for MCQ
