General guidance and study resource for Gulf Prometric exams for GP doctors or Family Physicians

  1. Requirements for any Medical license examination in Middle East need minimum 2-3 years’ experience after house job or internship (including DHA/ MOH/ HAAD/ SMLE, OMSB, QCHP etc…). 
  2. You need to make an account on respective website, upload your documents (Passport first page, Passport size pic with white background, Medical graduate Degree certificate, experience letter, Good standing certificate, and Authority letter for Data flow).
  3. Exam pattern is mostly same for all GP or family physician, examinations is conducted by prometric centers in many countries in the world.
  4. If you have good clinical knowledge then you can prepare yourself for examination.Better does practice of Mcqs atleast 2-3 months along with theory.
  5. Resources (Books) for exam preparations are MTB-2 (Master the Board USMLE Step 2 ck), MTB-3(Master the board USMLE step 3 ck) or first Aid USMLE, past papers, Recalls etc.
  6. Practice for mcqs as much as you can. It will help you to understand pattern of mcqs.Remember no exam is easy; it’s only easy if you have prepared well.
  7. You have been given maximum 3 attempts for exam.
  8. Passing marks for Exam is minimum 60%.
  9. OMAN viva has 2-3 attempts only.
